The Kantian Studies Group is a research unity that belongs to the Institute of Philosophy of the University of Buenos Aires. The aim of the group is to promote the investigation on Kantian philosophy. Its specific goals are: 1) to carry out projects and research programs, 2) to offer lectures and seminars, 3) to organize workshops and conferences, 4) to establish contact and academic cooperation with other research groups.


Book Release

 The GEK is pleased to announce that the Spanish version of the Ethics, Demonstrated in Geometrical Order has been published, whose translation, introduction, and notes were made by Professor Mario Caimi. This work by Baruch Spinoza joins the series of contributions by this member of our group for the study of Modern Philosophy in Spanish, which also includes a version of Descartes’ Discourse on Method and a version of the Critique of pure reason of Kant.

The text of the Ethics has been published by Editorial Colihue and was presented to the public at the Buenos Aires Book Fair, on May 8, 2022. In the memorable act, they had the floor, in addition to Mario Caimi, the proofreader of the translation, Jimena Palacios, the professor of Philosophy Axel Cherniavsky, and the coordinator of the Colihue collection, Mario Sverdloff.
